Google proclaimed a very important news on February 26th that there would be a change in “how they will rank websites in search results”
Google’s announcement :
“Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results. Consequently, users will find it easier to get relevant, search results that are optimized for their devices.”
This particular change underline the basic need to have a responsive design website for your cosmetic/dental practice. Responsive design or mobile friendly design is the design which provides a site that adjust automatically with computer, laptop, tablet and and mobile device in one site only.
A mobile website was praised because of the huge number of patients viewing the internet from their mobile and tablet devices. According to the recent survey by in India, , around 60%-75% of people in India access the web from a mobile device and the total Internet user base stood at approximately 278 million at the end of October 2014 quarter and is estimated to grow to 354 million by June 2015 So, with this huge modification to Google’s algorithm, Surgeons and Dentist having sites with a mobile presence will get advantages but if you do not have a mobile version of your website , it has the strong prospective to negatively effect your search engine ranking.
